My Passion For Watches & Clocks
My first repair was a smiths pocket watch that was my grandfathers. I replaced the main spring and was so happy when I wound it up and it ticked away merilly and kept good time. I was chuffed to think how my grandfather would have felt knowing I'd repaired something he'd used all his working life.
I still have that watch and cherish it to this day. Any type of watch or clock fascinate me with their history and if they could speak the stories they could tell.
Valuations And Purchasing
A local clock firm from Dereham was Metamec, formed in 1941 and closed in 1986. Metamec supplied clock workings and sister company called Jentique supplied cases aas they were a cabinet and furniture maker.
Their clocks are now sought after. I'll buy any type of vintage or antique clocks and watches working or not as I can repair many.
I'm always looking for Cartier or Omega watches or Metamec or Woodforde clocks.
